Dr. Oluwatoyin Olamilere Oyekanmi is a Nigerian-born, South African-based entrepreneur, political leader, and media professional with a dynamic career spanning business, public service, and creative industries. He is the founder and beneficial owner of multiple companies across South Africa and Nigeria, including Jollof Café, a thriving West African restaurant brand, and TEM Productions Limited, a media and film production company.

A distinguished academic, Dr. Oyekanmi holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Abuja, a Master of Science in Media and Communication from Pan-Atlantic University, and an Honorary Doctorate in Business Management from Anointed University Worldwide. He is currently pursuing a PhD in Film and Television Studies at the University of Johannesburg, researching innovative distribution models in Nollywood.

 

In the realm of public service, Dr. Oyekanmi is the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) South Africa Chapter and serves as the Senior Special Adviser on African Matters to the National Coordinator of the Tinubu Support Organization (TSO). He was also a Member of the Diaspora Directorate in the APC Presidential Campaign Council (2022–2023), and has received official recommendations for federal advisory roles in Nigeria.

Dr. Oyekanmi has undergone specialized training in leadership, brand performance, customer service, and cinematography. His contributions have been recognized with multiple commendations, including a promotion to Senior Banking Officer and a letter of commendation during his tenure at the Bank of Industry.

He is a permanent resident of South Africa, a certified humanitarian ambassador, and a baptized member of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG). A respected voice in both political and creative circles, he continues to bridge African cultures through food, film, and public engagement.
